Weights at the gym for an hour working my upper body/core. It is amazing how lifting weights can help with recovery after a long race, even if you are working your upper body. My legs were very sore right after the race, but have felt substantially better each day and I feel like I could go run a few miles, but I'm holding off. Here are a few pics from the race:

I think you are right about the lifting and strength training. I'm not sure whether it makes me a better/faster runner, but when I lift regularly I feel less beat up by running.
