I will be lifting for an hour tonight at the gym.

My workout yesterday was spending 10 hours at Lagoon with my kids. Whoooooah! People watching, lots of bad tattoos, larger folks squeezed into very tight clothes, roller coasters with my 9 year old until I was on the verge of puking- Good times. I must have walked at least 5 miles out there. Sweat!!!

I'm also going to do a longer (13+ mile) run tomorrow. Not sure where yet, but if anyone is getting out let me know.

I'm wanting to go up Butterfield canyon from my house. It is still closed to traffic so a good easy elevation gain. Maybe 14ish? 6:30ish...whenever. Interested?

Rad- I want it to be as flat as possible, since I am still babying my achilles. Do you know what the elevation gain is? I'm thinking I need to stay on the flat stuff for another week.

From RAD on Fri, Jun 24, 2011 at 18:08:51 from 98.202.17.113

Well, it is definitely not flat. It isn't anywhere near wire or lake mtn, but definitely a gradual up. I would guess over the 7 miles you'd be about 2,000 ish gain.

ahhh, just found a site that says the first 4 miles rise 1000 feet on the paved road. It's not much from my house there...maybe 600 ft? So that may be flat for you, good hills for me :) But either way, maybe more elevation than your Achilles should have right now. LMK.

Yeah, I need it to be pretty flat. My achilles is getting better and I don't want to come back too fast. I can do the miles, but I want to back off of all elevation. If you want to do something flat let me know.

10 hours at Lagoon! Now that's Wasatch training! Gald the heel is letting you get out and run. Smart to take it easy on the vert.

I couldn't do Lagoon for that long. You are a trooper. I hope your Saturday run goes well. Good luck with the Achilles.

Bryce- haha!

Thanks Julie. My run was awesome.
