Met Jun, Twinkies and Kam at Mueller Park for an early morning run. It was cold and the trail was covered in snow, but it was absolutely beautiful up there, and I loved the trail. It is fairly steep the first mile, but we got into a good groove, and before I knew it we were at Elephant Rock. I didn't have time to keep going because we were having a birthday party for my son who is turning five, and I had a lot to get done. I wanted to at least keep going to mile 4, so that it would give me an even 8 for the day, but the trail after Elephant Rock was not great, and it was a lot more work than I was expecting, so I turned back after about 50 yards.

Running back by myself was fun. I had some great tunes in the iPod, and the views were great. I was in a very good mood the whole time. I got back to the car at 8:53, so it took me about 1:20 to complete the run. I'm not sure how much elevation gain there was up to Elephant Rock, but it was nice and steep the whole way.

What a fun run. I would love to go back and do it again.

Twinkies- It seemed like more than 800 ft, but maybe I was just tired. I want to go back and do that one again. It was a lot of fun. Thanks.

Thanks Teena and Kellie. He had a great day. We took him to Chuck E. Cheese (his choice) and were there for 3.5 hours. CRAZY! The kids loved it, and we had plenty of hand sanitizer breaks. :)Hey, the air in Utah County was actually pretty good today.

Scott, I can picture those Trails now! Need to take my doggie out with me some time..its been too long since I went deep in the canyon...Woot 5 Years old...Kindergarten for HIM in the fall...he will be stoked. :D

Missy, you would love that trail. The only bad thing is it is in Bountiful, so it is a long drive. There are a lot of great places to go around here for us Utah County-ites :) I am going to try and get into the mountains at least once per week this year.

Yeah, my son is so excited for kindergarten. He's my baby, so it might be a bit sad though when they are all in school.

Yeah...Bountiful is far...I'm planning to get on the trail about that too now..that is a great goal..1xWeekly..I used to trail solo but I'm a bit spooked about it now. Will take my Lab..Hopefully she will get in shape because WoW she is slow!

When my youngest Went to kindergarten I thought I would be so happy I'd have a party every day..but I got all lonely and bummed..LOL :P
