Tapering. I am following the exact same taper that I did last year getting ready for Wasatch100. VB is the perfect run/peak to do 5 days out. Just enough to keep your legs and body fresh, but not enough to do any harm. I went slow, but steady and just cranked the tunes and enjoyed the early morning run. I hit the summit and stayed longer than normal enjoying the views. I mostly thought about Wasatch. I'm totally psyched to do it again and feel like I should improve by several hours over last year, but you never know what is going to happen out there. The forecast is for 95 degrees down in the valley. From what I understand that would be the hottest day for Wasatch in history and might have a big impact on the times this year, but we will see. I wish I couls start today. This week is going to be tough waiting.

Do not try to please me. Any attempt will be met with severe resistance.

Ninety-five degrees? It's Millwood all over again!
