View Benchmark peak with Jun:

Hot, muggy and sweaty out there today folks. We started from Coyote Hollow in Draper and ran up to View Benchmark. It was hot and humid from the start and I had sweat in every nook and cranny for most of the run. We had a good time chatting on the way up and both of us were feeling the effects of the heat. At the top of the connector trail we stopped so I could fill up my water and then we pushed it up to the summit of VB. We decided to hit the smaller sub peak to the west and I hiked the last of that because it is a steep and rocky motha.

Back down the VB trail to the drinking fountain for more water and then Jun took off fast back to the trailhead. I kept him in my sights until the last mile and then he put a decent gap on me. I was still running sub 8 most of the way, so he must have been moving well. We had a ton O' fun despite the heat.

I was so hammered I was just trying to keep moving forward. That was a lot of fun, but got wicked hot at the end.

The humidity definitely makes the heat worse! glad you had a fun run despite the heat and humidity :)

Ah...was looking for a remark from Burt regarding the "sweat in every nook and cranny" reference. Figured his mind would go to Thomas English muffins, then buns, then...

Nice miles today by the way.

Way to keep up a nice pace on the way down... Tough out there in the heat.
