Lake Mountain with Jun, MattVH, Mr. K and Faceless Ghost-

Up at 4:30 am to meet the boys at the AF park n ride for another really fun run up to Lake Mountain. I was very worried about my ankle because of the large wound that is still there. It was really hurting yesterday, so I put on extra bandages and tape and just planned on ignoring any pain.

It was cool at the start, but not cold, although VH was shivering. There was a bit of mud on the road, but nothing that slowed us down at all. We didn't push too hard and just chatted the whole way up. About 3/4 of the way up a shirtless dude (MattVH) comes running out of nowhere, I think he just wanted to show off his rippling pecs. It was warm, but not that warm. Up to the summit in 1:06 with the most amazing sunrise. Pure awesome.

The run down was pretty sore on my ankle on the steep procky sections, but once we got past them it didn't really bother me at all and I was able to get into a pretty decent pace. I put on my ipod and had a really fun cruise down singing with MattVH and enjoying the sweet views. It was a really fun day with good friends and the perfect way to start my day.

Awesome. Jealous and not jealous at the same time.

I'm glad the ankle didn't slow you down too much. Are you ready to take this on and have a 4 hour hike to the top Saturday? :) I'd love to join the boys club then...if you'll have me. But seriously, let me know what time would work for y'all and I will see if I can convince Kelli to come too.

It was that warm. I didn't carry any water so I did not want to sweat myself into dehydration.
