I went to the gym to lift tonight. I did 3 on the TM just to loosen up my legs, and then I didn't have enough time for a good lifting session. I did lift for 40 minutes, but it was crowded in there and I just wasn't able to work everything I wanted to, so I might go back tomorrow.

I also found out yesterday that I will be running/climbing Gannett Peak (highest peak in Wyoming) on Saturday. It will be 40-44 mles in some of the most scenic terrain in the US. I am really excited about this, but also kind of nervous. It will require us to carry in some climbing gear, so I am still not sure about what shoes to wear and what to carry. I may try crampons on my running shoes. If anyone has any experience with this let me know.

Wikipedia says the climb is usually a 4 to 6 day trip and is only exceeded in difficulty in state high points by Mt. McKinley. (Does that mean the climbs of the highest peaks in each state?) Wow! Good luck and have fun.

Chad- Yeah, the highest peak in each state. Gannett is the highest in Wyoming and is considered one of the top two or three in difficulty. Most people take 4-6 days to climb it and when I did it last in 2001 it took us 5 days. I'm totally stoked. Thanks.

I'm in awe of your mad skills.

Thanks Chad, but lets wait and see how I do on Sat. ha.

Wow...sounds like quite the undertaking. Just going 40-44 miles in a day is tough enough, not to mention throwing in a tough peak climb in the middle there. Be safe out there. Who are you doing it with?
