Grandeur Peak this morning with MattV. I just wasn't feeling it today. Not much energy and I never got into a good groove. My ipod crapped out on me about 3/4 of the way up so no tunes and I basically followed Matt all the way to the top. He beat me to the summit by a couple of minutes where he waited for me while playing some air guitar. I topped out in 1:22 which is not fast. It was very cold and windy on top, so we didn't stay long. I downed (gagged) a gel quickly and we headed down.

On the way down we ran into our friend Judy and stopped to chat about some upcoming spring mountaineering climbs. The run down was slow and my legs were heavy and sore. Total time 2:05.

On a positive note we did have a helluva lot of laughs on the hill today.

Nice work! I bet having some laughs helps distract from the slog.

Nice peak Scott. Got the email the other day about the "fun run". One look at that elevation profile and I was sure "fun" was relative. That's a tough climb! Nice work.

Nice climb. Is there still lots of snow on top?

Always good to see the positives. What would we do without running buddies?

Jsh/Bryce/Twinkies- Thanks. Are you guys doing the Grandeur fun run? I am.

Twinkies- There was snow on the summit ridge all the way to the top. It looks about like it did last year during the fun run. Maybe a little more. It seems like there is a lot more though in Church Fork.

Is the Grandeur fun run this Saturday? I might come join the fun. Not sure is my body is ready yet, but that would be a good test.

I'm planning on going. I was originally planning on a double, but with Zion's in the mix now, there's no way... Just gonna take it nice and easy!

Scott, not me, I'll be fun running on a kauai beach.
