It has been a week since I have done any running, in part because of my back, but also because I spent last week in Disneyland/California Adventure and at the beach in So Cal. I was a little worried about this run, but I had to get out and get back into my routine.

It was very cold out there today, but it felt good for most of the run. My legs were a little heavy and I felt sluggish most of the way up, but I did manage to grind all the way to the summit running all but the steepest climb on the Maple Hollow connector trail.

The summit was windy and cold, so I didn't stay long at all. I did get into a really good groove on the way down and the last two miles were at an 8:00 pace.

Way to get back out there! Sorry to hear that your back is still giving you problems.

Thanks Andrea. The good news about my back is running actually doesn't bother it much.

Nice job at getting back out there Scott! I am glad you took some downtime and enjoyed Disneyland with your family.

Did the back bother you on the run today?

I spoke too soon. Glad it doesn't bother you much when running. :)

Welcome home! Coming home from vacation is always hard, but coming home to these freezing temps is especially hard to come back to!!! Great run today!

I could really use a trip to Disneyland, glad you had fun. Good job on running up and down mountains and stuff. :)

Now that the racing season is over, you'll have to drag me up VB!! Maybe some nice Saturday morning...AFTER the sun has come up :)

Carina- Thanks!

RachelT- Mountains and stuff... :)

Rad- I just posted the same thing on your blog. Let's do it.

11/03 is probably the best Saturday for me. I'm thinking about doing a charity 5K that morning for a fellow runner, but then after that?

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, Oct 18, 2012 at 14:28:06 from 66.232.64.4

Possible. I might be coaching soccer that morning, but if not then I can.
